When Lighting Goes Wrong...

So what is wrong with this picture?... We find this to be a common and easily overlooked mistake in property rooms across the country. It is important to have adequate lighting in your evidence room. This image shows insufficient lighting because it runs the same direction as the shelving. By having overhead lighting run the opposite way of your shelves this provides evenly distributed lighting throughout your storage area, which provides a safer workplace.

Designated Work Area's...

It is important to have a designated work area for officers to process their evidence. This area should be clean and provide all the necessary packaging supplies.
