Installations
Service and Support

"ALL of our interactions with FileOnQ have been exceptionally superior.... a drastic improvement over the
poor customer service that we've received from nearly every other software vendor in the past."
Sr. Evidence Tech Bruce Adams, Littleton Police, Colorado
Prior to Installation:
Home Screen Design:
After your installation date has been scheduled, we will work closely with you to design your
home screen. You may start from scratch to design your screen, or we will provide examples of home screens that other police
departments have designed. Feel confident that we will assist you along the way to develop a screen that will meet the specific needs
of your department. After we have completed your screen design, we will send you an authorization for you to sign that you approve
of the screen design. Continued...

Make your lists:
In order to have your system installed quickly and efficiently, we can populate much of the information prior to installation. We will need to
acquire lists of of the officers/staff in your department, a list of the locations in your evidence room, a list of your offense codes, etc.
Custom Reports:
We will also design the custom reports you have purchased prior to installation. You will need to provide examples of the reports/forms
that you want the system to generate. These may include letters, court orders, chain of custody forms, crime lab submission requests,
inventory exception lists, Property Room.com manifests, etc.
Import Existing Data (as required):
If you have data in an existing system that needs to be imported into your EvidenceOnQ™ database, please discuss this with us in
advance. We will assist your IT department in the mapping and set up of the import. If they do not feel they have the time or expertise
to perform the actual import and clean up of data, we will provide an estimate to you for the work that will need to be performed.
Installation:
Software Installs: The first task is to install the system on your server, secure the necessary licensing, and
install the desktop client on the PC's you determine should have access to the system.
Hardware Installs: The next task is to install and set up your hardware at the appropriate workstations. This can/or
may include, barcode scanners, printers and/or signature pads, etc.
Training:
Once this is completed, we will then begin training your personnel. We will first train your evidence personnel and assist them in setting
up their barcode labels, location labels, location control sheets, etc. If you would like us to train your officers, we will do that also.
Please let us know how and when you would like them trained. We can provide a "train the trainer" course, or individual sessions
for shifts. Keep in mind your annual maintenance and support includes training as well. You are more than welcome to contact us for
additional training throughout the life of your EvidenceOnQ™ system.
Our Goal is to provide you the very best service possible every step-of-the-way!
